New
Year Message from our Founder
Dear members and
potential members,
I would like to wish you
all a prosperous New Year.
2007, I feel was a
difficult year for us all. We had tremendously long
periods of dry weather followed by two of the wettest
months in many years. Catching moles has been a
challenging and sometimes frustrating occupation.
Since we launched the
BTMR we have had a tremendous response from the public –
Traditional Molecatchers are in great demand!!
As is always the way,
some members have received a lot of jobs through the
register and some received less, it has been a postcode
lottery. It is a disappointing fact that over 50% of
enquires for Traditional Molecatchers came from areas
where we have no members, so plenty of room on the
register for new members
I am pleased to announce
that I now can devote more time to the BTMR , as I have
sold my long standing business to a company that is
carrying on the traditional trapping methods, and I am
now only working part time for them and therefore will
be able to devote even more time to promoting the BTMR.
Like all new ventures it
takes a little time to establish - as we get more
publicity and get even better known the register will go from
strength to strength!!!
The BTMR is about to
launch it’s first Traditional Molecatching Training
Course which will take place late January, and hopefully
will continue throughout the year. There are a few more
developments in the pipeline which will drive the BTMR
on to greater things, and I thank you all for your
continued support in the future.
A member’s draw to
celebrate the New Year, will be posted on our website
shortly and contain prizes donated by our supporters and
suppliers.
This only leaves me to
say good luck, good hunting and above all good health
for 2008.
Brian
